A Christian group out of San Diego has found grounds for outrage over the new retro-style logo for Starbucks Coffee. The Resistance says the new image “has a naked woman on it with her legs spread like a prostitute,” Mark Dice, founder of the group, said in a news release. “Need I say more? It’s extremely poor taste, and the company might as well call themselves Slutbucks.”

What’s so offensive?

Looks pretty cool to me, but I’m going to hell, so what do I know?  Besides, what legs are they talking about?  Methinks they are seeing something which isn’t there.  Calling Dr. Freud…

In the Saturday edition of the Mobile Press-Register (19 January 2008) the following article appears on the front page:Group to fly rebel flag over Interstate 10

Apparently, someone owns land beside I-10 east of Mobile, and this someone has decided, with the help of the local Sons of Confederate Veterans, to erect an 80 foot tall flag pole with 2,000 watt halogen lights, and put the racists Confederate Battle Flag on it. The cost is reported to be around $15,000 - $20,000 and raised mostly through contributions.

Let me state from the outset that this group absolutely has the Constitutional right to do this on private property, and I would defend their right to do it. The government should have no say on its display as long as it is on private property.

Now that I got that out of the way, let me state this:

Those stupid, inbred, racist, cracker, fundy Christian pig shaggers have once again defecated over those of us who happen to live in the South and like to think we live in at least the latter part of the 20th century, if not the 21st century. Is it no coincidence that we see a rise in fundy Christianity, anti science and anti history in the Deep South, which has been anti education ever since the War that defeated the very traitors this flag represents?

What about the people who live near this abomination? Apparently they are in league with this group. If not, they need to speak up or be counted with these degenerates.

Since this flag represents traitors to the Constitution of the United States, why is it even allowed by the citizens to be displayed? It seems to me that the good people who understand what this flag really represents should rise up and take the flag down. The flag is located somewhere in this area, where Boe Road intersects Interstate 10.
Perhaps what is needed is some economic punishment. Perhaps the Senior Bowl, which has been in Mobile for several decades, should relocate because of this. Or the GMAC bowl. Or perhaps ThyssenKrupp and other high-value businesses should move away, lest they become tainted with this filth. Hitting these people in the pocketbook usually gets their attention. Clarence Mohr, professor of history at the University of South Alabama, stated this as well:

There’s no doubt in my mind that the overwhelming majority of Alabamians, black and white, understand that the Civil War is over, and the time has come to move on. If we want to attract businesses like ThyssenKrupp and other businesses, if we want the port of Mobile to realize its full potential, we want to show the positive, not negatives of our history. A giant Confederate battle flag will do little to enhance the state’s image in the eyes of tourists or investors.

I disagree with the first part, however. I don’t think an overwhelming majority have a problem with this. Where’s the outrage? There is still one of these on I-65 between Montgomery and Birmingham. Now we have another. Instead of going away, they are replicating like a malignant cancer. Not just in Alabama, but all over the Deep South.
Until these people learn that those days are long behind us, and their traitorous forefathers were killed and defeated 150 years ago, they should be ridiculed anywhere and everywhere possible, until their corrupt and malicious viewpoint, like fundy religions and creationism, finally becomes extinct.

The Florida Citzens for Science is reporting more county school boards in Florida passing anti-science resolutions. This quote sums it up:

Nassau County Superintendent John Ruis said he is a strong believer in biblical creationism. The theory of evolution has many “holes” in it, he said - and presenting it as undisputed fact “is certainly contrary to the beliefs of many people, including myself.”

These people are a danger to our children, abusing their minds with their tales of mythology pushed as some type of pseudo-science.

Again, if you live in Florida, contact your school board and let them know how you feel. And especially let them know that if they vote against science and against education, that you will vote against them in the next election. Vote these willfully ignorant people out of these positions of power over our children!

Those of us who live in other states: we need to keep a wary eye, as this virus will inevitably seek its way into our lives, poisoning minds and costing us taxpayers tremendous amounts of money to eradicate.
