How To Use FS9 Configurator
NOTE: For support, please post in the FS9 Configurator Forum located at http://kensalter.com/forum
FS9 Configurator consists of two main interfaces. The first interface shows a list of the configuration files in a tree-like list on the left hand side of the program.
Configuration File Editor
There are three folders and 5 configuration (cfg) files present. The plus (+) sign beside a folder or file indicates there are subitems. Clicking on the + sign will expand the list so you can see the subitems. Clicking on a minus (-) sign will contract a list. You can also double click to expand an item.
Selecting a CFG file will load the contents of the file. These files are text files and are divided into sections. Each section is added to the tree list, and each data value will be displayed in the list to the right.
To edit an existing value, double click the key name. This will display and editor screen. To add a new value, press Insert. To remove a value, select it and press Delete. You can also right click on a value to bring up a menu, and you can use the Edit option on the Main menu.
You may also add and remove sections to a configuration file. Right click on a section name in the left tree to bring up a menu, or use the Edit option on the Main Menu.
You can Search through a loaded configuration file by pressing Control and F, or selection the Edit menu option, then clicking on Search. This will bring up the search window where you can enter any text to search for.
Launching Flight Simulator
You can use FS9 Configurator to launch Flight Simulator. Click on File->Launch FS9.
This window will appear allowing the user to choose a configuration file and/or a saved flight. If the user selects a saved flight, the Set Saved Flight Time to Current Time toggle button will be enabled. Clicking this toggle will reset the saved flight time to the current system time.
